Our next stop was at Gol in Hallingdal. Gol's Stavkirke was originally built in the 1200s .. It was demolished in the 1800s and reconstructed by King Oscar 11 in his private outdoor Oslo museum. This is a true copy of that Gol stave church built in the medieval park of Gordarike. It was consecrated by the bishop of Tunsberg in 1994 and often used for musical performances and weddings.
